Colby Adams

Associate Pastor to Students and Families

Colby was raised in a Christian home where he heard the gospel and attended church for all of his life. He made a profession of faith at the age of 10, but he later realized that he had never truly repented of sin and trusted in Jesus for salvation. Around the age of 16, God began to convict him of sin and his desperate need of Jesus. Although he had heard the gospel many times before, God began to open his eyes to truly understand the gospel as he heard it preached and taught each week. Colby sensed God calling him into ministry in his high school and college years and attended Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary as he sought to be equipped
and prepared for pastoral ministry.

In January of 2019, God called Colby back to FBC Holly Pond to serve as Associate Pastor. Colby married his sweet, beautiful wife Adrien in 2016. They have three children: Eliana, Lincoln, and Asa. They love FBC Holly Pond and the Holly Pond community, and  they are so thankful that God in His wisdom has chosen to place them here.

Reid hollis

Pastoral Staff Support Intern

Reid currently serves in the role of Pastoral Assistant Intern. Through this he helps the pastors at First Baptist Church of Holly Pond execute ministry duties and receives hands-on experience as he attends seminary. Reid is currently working on a Biblical Counseling degree from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Reid lives at home with his two parents and his sister as he works through his studies. He grew up in a Christ-centered household but did not come to the faith himself until his early high school years. After hearing the gospel from his family, friends, and church leaders Reid gave himself to Jesus Christ as a vessel to be used for his glory. He has since felt the call to ministry and FBC Holly Pond as a local body of believers has affirmed this call. He leads a small group, teaches a Men’s Sunday School class, and actively helps fill local pulpits when needed.
